Now that I think about it, this is how drug dealers work. First they come around and say, "Hey, man, wanna try the Top Ten Conservative Idiots? Maybe a little Bob Boudelag, while you're at it..."

And then WHAM! It's almost twelve years later. You're paying some guy who dresses their avatar up like a Simpsons character -- on a monthly basis -- to tell you that your posts are "against the rules" or "tasteless and crass" or "borderline illegal." You're spending six hours writing and re-writing the perfect gotcha post which will enable you to finally win a six week flame war ("I'll show them why poodles are better than chihuahuas!"). You've stopped going to Olive Garden entirely: not because you dislike the Olive Garden, but you've read so many Olive Garden posts that merely driving past gives you a vague feeling of unease.

And I'm not going to rehab! I don't care what my wife and children say! I am going to my night job, though (but I'll be reading DU on my phone while I'm there).

After all there is a heck of alot of competition each week with people eager to make the top 10 list that the person who was tracking it wouldnt be able to get any sleep.

Then everyone can contribute and say which conservative was the biggest idiot that past week. It could be Sunday night entertainment.
