4. But Bush looks ridiculous in anything.

I do think it's kind of funny how visiting dignitaries always feel obliged to dress up in some version of the host country's traditional garb, and then they wander around looking kind of foolish and awkward. When foreign leaders come to the U.S., why don't they dress up in something typically American - like jeans and a t-shirt emblazoned with the name of a rock band?

which are equally ridiculous and uncomfortable if you take away our cultural acclimation to them. At least in many other cultures, color in men's formal wear isn't limited to the tie.

According to Mark Knoller, CBS News White House Correspondent (radio):

At the East Asia Summit dinner, Pres Obama and the other leaders wore Batik shirts - as is often the case at the annual APEC Summits.

And I think the Prez rocks the look.
