1. You have lists of civilians killed in every modern aggressive action?

Or only when Jews do it?

Never mind. It was a rhetorical question.

I'm still waiting for lists of women and children saved by Hamas' courageous effort to shelter them in the smuggling tunnels or convoys through the Rafah gate with the eager help of Egypt. Let me know when you have that list. I'll link it on Facebook and Twitter.

4. feel free to post the list of those killed in the last few hamas rocket attacks.

"Since Wednesday Israel has launched about 1,000 air strikes on the coastal Palestinian territory."

1000 air strikes in three days on a strip of land about as big as a wide tie.

10. I am not the one listing dead.

I notice that children are dying violently in many places and none of you give a damn about them. You only list these deaths as mattering.

And you show zero interest in understanding why rockets in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv could reasonably be expected to lead to these deaths.

Hamas is legally elected, isn't it? Chosen by the people of Gaza?

Meantime you offer no information on any efforts internationally or locally to rescue these threatened children. WHEN HAMAS KNEW THE ATTACKS WOULD BE COMING IN RESPONSE TO THEIR ROCKETS.

I can't stop you from proclaiming that only Israel has blood on its hands. I just hate to see whitewash dripping from Hamas.

12. please post the list of israeli dead from the last hamas rocket attacks. no one

is whitewashing anything.

you took exception to only lists of palestinian dead being posted. i invite you to post the list of israeli dead from the last rocket attacks, the ones that precipitated 1000 air sorties from israel.

I may have the wrong information, but as I understand it, perhaps incorrectly, there have been three israeli deaths from rockets attack in all of 2012, and all of them occurred after 'operation pillar of cloud' commenced.

but if you have a list of the people killed from the rocket attacks that allegedly forced the israeli government to commence pillar of cloud, i will honor their lives and mourn their deaths, just as i do all the lives lost in this ongoing travesty.

15. No, yr the one trying to divert attention away from what's happening in Gaza...

I notice that in yr first post in this thread you equate Jews with Israelis in a very clumsy attempt to paint the person daring to mention that there's a lot of dead Palestinians as being motivated by antisemtism. Here's a bit of obvious information for you. Antisemites tend to conflate the two terms so they can come out with lines like 'The Jews are oppressing the Palestinians' which is about the Jewish people rather than about Israel. The reality is that there's a lot of Israelis who aren't Jewish and a lot of Jews who aren't Israeli.

What's happening in Gaza is big news around the world because innocent people are yet again dying. There's no requirement that people must talk about every other death everywhere else in the world before they can talk about what;s happening in Gaza and southern Israel.

Hamas is legally elected, isn't it? Chosen by the people of Gaza?

Blaming the people of Gaza for somehow bringing this upon themselves is sickening.

Also, listing the dead in Gaza isn't proclaiming that only Israel has blood on its hands, no more than it means people don't care about dead kids elsewhere. What comes through loud and clear is an inability on yr part to display the slightest bit of empathy and care for the civilians being killed when those civilians are Palestinian...

8. And no information on rescue efforts by Hamas and Egypt?

Why is that? The air strikes targeted Rafah. The Rafah gate is the path to safety. Do you believe the Israelis would strafe a convoy of children?

ARE THE CHILDREN AT THE GATE? It's Monday morning. Days to gather and remove the children. Where are the reports of the rescue effort? Surely that would be even better press for Hamas than corpse kids?

Hamas knows Israel retaliates disproportionately as weak nations must. Hamas knew the schedule of their rocket attacks. WHY DID HAMAS LEAVE THE GAZA CHILDREN IN PLACE?

The Rafah gate leads to Egypt. The kids could have walked out if Hamas gathered them and Egypt agreed. They can still walk out. Where is the evidence that this has happened?

Told Long Beach friends to get the hell out. They, unlike the Palestinians, could. Didn't. Lost 3 cars. Now they're cleaning up while living elsewhere.

18. So they need to be removed for their own good? At a point of a gun I presume?

Are you saying that all the Gaza children should be removed from the strip and relocated to Egypt to prevent Israel from harming them? And if the children are not removed and become a statistic at the hands of the IDF, then it's their fault. Not Israels. Or it's the parents fault and not Israels. Or it's the Palestinians fault for not predicting where a bomb will drop or where an IDF commander decides where to plonk down a missile. So the 11 human beings that were shredded when Israel decided to flatten a 2 story house had it coming cause they should know better then to be there. Right?

Palestinians should know better then to be in a house.
Palestinians should know better then to be in a apartment.
Palestinians should know better then to be in a factory.
Palestinians should know better then to be in a field.
Palestinians should know better then to be under a tree.
Palestinians should know better then to be in a tunnel.
Palestinians should know better then to be on the ground.

Is it only the children that you desire to be removed? What about the other general civilians as well? They should also simply vacate their homes too.

Should Israeli citizens also remove themselves from areas in the south near Gaza for safety? And if they don't, it's their fault if they become a statistic?

Israelis should know better then to be in a house.
Israelis should know better then to be in a apartment.
Israelis should know better then to be in a building.
Israelis should know better then to be in a field.
Israelis should know better then to be under a tree.
Israelis should know better then to be in a farm.
Israelis should know better then to be on the ground.

Somewhere in Gaza, a Hamas militant also says the same thing as you. The Israelis should know better then to be there. It's their fault if something bad happens to them. Now you need to excuse him, he needs to fire off another rocket.

22. Evacuation is a traditional method of saving lives.

However, when people chose NOT to evacuate in times of danger, we do tend to call them lucky idiots or dead idiots, depending.

Since you believe it's more noble or something to stay and die, go for it. I'm betting you do not live in an area targeted for air strikes.

I evacuate for hurricanes. My sister evacuates for fire. The people of Syria are spending the winter in refugee camps in Turkey and Jordan BECAUSE STAYING ALIVE MATTERS NO MATTER WHAT THE THREAT.

I'm pretty sure the Palestinian fathers pounding on the Rafah Gates would rather keep their kids alive than engage in hysterical and useless blaming.

http://occupiedpalestine.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/live-updates-palestinians-storming-the-rafah-border-gate-in-pictures/ .

See, the evacuation discussion is moot. Egypt won't allow it. Egypt, not Israel. The people of Gaza are trapped. Egypt could save them. But Egypt has locked the Rafah Gate.

Now go back to blaming Israel. It's easy.

And it's "hysterical" and "useless" to blame the person or organization that dropped the bomb?

Funny, my relatives who survived the Blitz blamed Hitler, evidently according to you they should have moved out of the UK and not blamed Hitler for the bombing.

Germany would be a lot bigger these days if my relatives had taken your advice and I don't think it would have worked out well in the long run for the Jewish people.

this year from hamas rocket attacks died because of the 'pillar of cloud' action. that number was three last i checked. plus nearly 100 palestinians.

netanyahu 103, hamas 0.

isn't it funny hamas keeps firing these rockets that do minimal damage to israel but provoke such terrible retribution on its own people?

it's a very odd thing, as odd as the question of how they are able to supply themselves with so many rockets in an area surrounded by and surveilled by israel when other basic necessities of life are so much harder to come by.

You are one of them. I find your over defense of Isreal and your blaming the victims of bombing to be really over the top. There is blame to be found in both groups of people doing the bombing. However, to blame the victims and to become enraged that people are pointing out that children are dying and the even more bizarre position that those people are responsible for their own deaths because they didn't/couldn't evacuate is incredibly cold and heartless.

You and I are on the same side in most issues, but on this... not even in the same part of the universe.

31. Radical Idea: Stop firing rockets into another country.

Israel was leaving Hamas alone until this latest round of missile launches.
Shooting 200 missiles into another country is generally considered an act of war.
and yes, Hamas provoked this latest round of Israeli retaliation.

Maybe instead of investing in missiles and weapons of war, maybe Hamas could invest in basic infrastructure like hospitals and schools and stuff like that.

But no. Hamas wouldn't even stop firing when the Egyptian Prime Minister was there.
People die in war. Its a fact of life.
--Lesson to be learned: actions have consequences.

Oh and one more thing. Its kinda silly to be complaining about civilian causalities when Hamas only fires at Israeli civilian targets. Israel is massing troops and armor on the Gaza border. There is a military target right there. but no, Hamas still fires on civilian targets.
--I don't think Hamas leaders are all that smart.

Secondly, the United Nations was and is still the world's respected body for international disputes.

Thirdly, the Holocaust.

Fourthly, Israelis had always lived in what was termed "Palestine."

Finally, there has been no "ethnic cleansing," LOL!

55. ...

1. The British empire is long dust and the US Empire will follow. There is no reason any person in the Middle East should recognize "declarations" and so forth made by the West, in any shape or form. "Might makes right" only as long as such might exists.

2. To my knowlege no Arab nation was in favor of the partitioning, nor where the Palestinean natives.

3. Yeah, but not done by Palestineans.

4. No one says they shouldn't, except crazy extremists.

5. Just because the cleansing was not complete that does not mean there wasn't any.

57. Israel has made Gaza an open air prison. You want them to throw flowers?

It is committing an open-ended act of war against Gaza with its blockades.

There will be no peace without a just peace.

58. There will be no peace until the rockets stop

Hamas is simply making it easier for Israel to ignore peace talks.

These rocket attacks will not force Israel to give in - Iron Dome has changed the calculus. Hamas needs a plan B.

54. The American GOP is at the VERY TOP of this fault line

The ONLY regime in the world who sympathizes with Israel at ANY level is the most destructive organization in the history of the planet, the republican Party. If the party didn't exist, Israel would not have the bravado to conduct illicit, deathly attacks on innocent, progressive Palestinians and citizens of Gaza and West Bank. I've advocate long and hard for the decertification of Israel into a region that allows for progressive Arab control, and denuding the influence of the Reaganauts in this part of the world.

This is NOT a condemnation of the Jewish faith, but if the citizens of Israel cannot accomodate those who've had their land, money, and religious freedom stolen and slaughtered by a wacko foreign wing of the GOP, then it must be decertified. NOW!

61. It's only the GOP? So you agree with President Obama's position?

"There's not a country on earth that would tolerate missiles raining down on its citizens from outside its borders," Mr. Obama said. "We are fully supportive of Israel's right to defend itself from missiles landing on peoples' homes."

63. NOBODY tolerates this. But Israel STARTED this

Israel started this by stealing land in 1948 and hammering their own republican agenda through the past decades. President Obama wisely knows this, therefore, he ALSO has stated that Israel should NOT incur invasion into Hamas or Palestinian territory.

Israel = GOP. As such, both must be rendered politically inactive. In Israel's case, it means changing the Knesset to progressive control, giving Arabs in the region stake in the game, and even changing the name to one that doesn't inflame over 94% of the region. Palestine would be my choice.
