Is Obama growing a moustache? Just saw a clip of his weekly address and there was something
happening on his upper lip. Just checked it tout on the WH give site -- looks the same.
Yes, there are important things that need our attention. No, it doesn't matter if he's growing a moustache or not. So you can save your judgmental putdowns about how shallow I am. I admit it -- sometimes I am! I was just surprised that I NOTICED, so am curious as to what you guys think. www.whitehouse.gov

I think presidents don't go for facial hair, at least not in recent history.

Sheesh, I hope it's just a bit of 5 o'clock shadow (though there's no beard, so that doesn't make sense). Maybe it's something for his Asian trip?
Maybe his upper lip is just sore from talking so much lately. Maybe he told Boehner he'd grow a mustache if he grabbed him 20 Republican House members to vote for a tax increase for the wealthy. But I do see the faint trace of facial hair on the upper lip! |

9. I even went back and watched it again. It doesn't just look like stubble. Now I'll be
|
staring at his lip for the next few days!

As a man who cannot live without having a face-kitten myself, I welcome the return of a presidential ketchup-catcher!

7. It used to be standard for a president. I'd like to see the trend return.
|
He'd look good in a full mustache - handlebar even.

He is a pretty cool guy, so maybe he wants to fit in with the youth of America who are observing it!
In any case, I have noticed that the President is like me, and for that matter, many other guys who get the whole 5 o'clock shadow thing, especially on the upper lip. |

Last edited Sun Nov 18, 2012, 12:47 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Never noticed that he was hot or anything. Ahem. But of course hot is non-existent without the issues, so I'm glad we are on the same page. |

14. I've noticed...

...a bit of stubble on him in a few appearances lately. I think he may have even had it in his victory speech. You notice some on him during a statement on Hurricane Sandy:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/photos-and-video/video/2012/10/29/president-obama-makes-statement-hurricane-sandy Apparently, he has stated that he can't grow facial hair. It was even discussed here years ago: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x7953382 |

his weekly address, I think. I couldn't really get a good screen shot, but
