Jill Kelley: Petraeus, Allen asked me to help silence 'Bubba the Love Sponge'
(Not "The Onion", seriously. Wish it was. These Hostess Ho Ho's actually believe two 4 star generals requested their assistance in a security threat.)
Jill Kelley emails: Petraeus, Allen asked me to help silence 'Bubba the Love Sponge' By Michael Isikoff NBC News When a Florida shock jock threatened to "deep fat fry" a Quran earlier this year, Gen. John Allen, the commander of U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan, and CIA Director David Petraeus both reached out to Tampa socialite Jill Kelley to help tamp down what they saw as a potential threat to the safety of U.S. troops, according to emails released by the city of Tampa. In the emails, Kelly -- indicating she was acting at the behest of the high level U.S. government officials -- asked Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn to intervene and get the radio disc jockey to stand down. "I have Petraeus & Allen both emailing me about getting this dealt with," Kelley wrote to Buckhorn in a March 7 email. The day before, Kelley mentioned similar requests to Buckhorn from both Allen and Vice Adm. Robert Harward, deputy commander of the U.S. Central Command in Tampa. "I just got off the phone with Gen. Allen & Adm Harward," she wrote. "I'm going to need your assistance, vice versa with the potential crises we'll be dealing with." http://openchannel.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/16/15224380-jill-kelley-emails-petraeus-allen-asked-me-to-help-silence-bubba-the-love-sponge?lite

Do you believe you have an inside line on whether Kelley was called and asked to do this by the generals she names? Please let us know your definitive source, because there is zero-point-zero reason to have an opinion either way on who might be making up what in this matter. |

14. Are you sure this didn't happen? After all she WAS close friends
|
enough with Gen. Allen that the FBI uncovered thousands of email exchanges between the two. And there is no question that Gen Petraeus was also close friends with her family. There is no denial from either of these two Generals regarding their close friendships with Kelley and her sister for that matter.
They spend Christmas with her eg. And the close friendship was noted by Broadwell enough to cause her to send her anonymous emails telling her to back off basically. She was also good friends with the Mayor. So I don't see why SHE should be slammed necessarily for simply referring to these close relationships. The question is why two top Generals and a whole lot of other top Government officials were that close to these women. What kind of judgement is that? As we can see from the results now. Broadwell, eg, Petraeus' mistress, revealed in a talk before they were outed, that the CIA was holding prisoners in the Bengazi annex near the Embassy. She claimed this was why there was an attack, to release those prisoners. Who gave her the authority to expose that information and worse, where did she get it? The question here isn't the women, there are always people willing to hang around with people of power. The questions include 'what kind of National Security' protection was this considering how we are told the entire country needs to be spied 'for our own safety', and here we have Generals running around providing info to a bunch of socialites? |

Kelleys and the mayors emails pissed off Bubba:
http://www.theledger.com/article/20121117/NEWS/121119435/1002/SPORTS?Title=Bubba-the-Love-Sponge-Vows-Revenge-on-Tampa-Mayor Clem (Bubba The Love Sponge) said the people who got him to stop the Koran burning were his lawyer and the heads of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and the Tampa Police Department. But he said Kelley "probably did get intel to have me stop it, and that's the problem itself."
A Bubba's Army truck circled the Bayshore Boulevard block of the Kelley home for about a half-hour Friday, pumping a parody to the tune of Falco's Rock Me Amadeus about Petraeus. |
