John McCain with egg-on-face, Owes Susan Rice, President Obama & Americans A SINCERE APOLOGY!!!

FRI NOV 16, 2012 AT 09:18 PM PST
John McCain's egg-on-face Benghazi comeuppance
by Steveningen

This is a beautiful sight to behold. This press briefing after he emerges from the Petraeus testimony will be marked as the moment when John McCain lost all credibility. His craven selection of Sarah Palin couldn't do it. His loss to President Obama couldn't do it. Even his bitter service on the Senate these past four years couldn't do it. Instead, an attack on our consulate in Libya and his surreal vendetta against the Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, has finally pushed his relevance forever over the edge.

MCCAIN: General Petraeus's briefing was comprehensive. I think it was important. It added to our ability to make judgments about what is clearly a failure of intelligence. And he described his actions and that of the, of his agency and their interaction with other agencies and I appreciate his service and his candor.

It was clear from his very brief and breathless words that he knew just how big a pile of elephant crap he had stepped in. Gone was the demand for the Susan Rice's head on a plate fire he and his toady sidekick Lindsey Graham exhibited just hours before. Gone was his bluster and confidence. That was just a sad man standing there realizing just how much respect he had thrown away. It's how I read it anyway, and if ever a man deserved that moment of complete shame in front of the cameras he constantly craves, that was the moment.

.............

And finally. John McCain, you owe Susan Rice, President Obama, and the American people a sincere apology.

or he and his rightwing cronies in the senate will continue to try and block Susan Rice's nom as SoS.

I want to see Lindsey apologize as publicly as he had excoriated the president and U.N. Ambassador Rice. If he's big enough to besmirch this honorable woman's reputation in public and before the cameras, then he should be as big to apologize when he realizes his slandering mistake.

and they will never apologize.

McCain should have been ignored in the first place. But people like him are always allowed a platform to denigrate anyone who looks or thinks in any way different from him. This has been going on for decades and getting worse. He will be back and the media will once again give him microphone.

It will be interesting to see how he acts in the coming days after being shown how idiotic and foolish he has become.
Remember him dropping everything and going to Washington to save the country and our economy?
And he cursed us with The Snowbilly Grifter.
Go home to the rocking chair on the porch John before you embarrass you or the country again.

McConnell, Graham, Ayotte and McCain all owe Rice a public apology. Every time one of them gets get in front of a camera...a group should shout, "Where's the apology?" "Where's the apology?" until every single one of them apologizes.

Asked Saturday at a press conference at the Halifax International Security Forum if anything he was told by Petraeus would change his assessment of what Rice knew and the statements she made, McCain said, "No, because I knew it was a terrorist attack from the beginning. People don't go to spontaneous demonstrations with mortars and RPGs."

There was a time when I thought he was one of the few sane republicans. And his time in the prison camp was honorable. Now he will be remembered for Palin and this kind of shit. You'd think after the election they would stop listening to Fox.

Hope he takes Lindsay and his whole party down with him.
