Pleasantly surprised...Lawrence O'Donnel seems to be a regular

On Fridays now.

I like his analysis and then I can switch to Current.

1. I'm shocked he's on tonight.

He tweeted something about not being on Fridays for four more years.

Hope it sticks.

10. I have Comcast

This has happened before on Fridays and weekends. I wonder if MSNBC made some last minute decisions.

Meanwhile, I'm noticing that The Last Word is not "Live". Evidently they recorded it earlier.

I'm thinking that one of these days there may be no more prison!

17. Me too

I refuse to watch CNN and it would be a long weekend without my political fix.

7. Saw something saying that MSNBC was looking to increase weekend hours for talk shows.

Certainly they did they prior to the election, but anyone hear if they've now made permanent changes? Sure would be nice.

11. I think it is a gradual process

"Up with Chris Hayes" and "Melissa Harris-Perry" seem to have been the test shows, to see if there was an audience on the weekend. If they are doing well, I think they will expand the weekend programming. Craig Melvin has been on in the afternoon after Alex Witt, hope they keep him on the weekends.

9. I'm just glad they don't start the PIC shows until after I go to bed now.

I hate that lock-up shit.

BTW, I have LO on right now as we watch our 5 week old kitten terrorize the living room!

12. Lawrence tweeted this about 23 hours ago:

Lawrence O'Donnell ‏@Lawrence
This one really is gonna be my last Friday show. I know I've said that before. Yes I meant it then but msnbc had other ideas. I mean it now!

I wish he would always have a Friday show too.

16. He has a helluva commute

LA->NY

I did that for a few years on a weekly basis, its a killer

They should let him broadcast his shows more from LA, so we can get a reg Fri show

19. Thanks for the news. I thought he would be off, so didn't bother to DVR it. I'll be ready next week.

It would be tremendous if they had made the decision to keep his show on He was really missed on Fridays prior to the run-up to the election.

On edit:

Rats. Just saw onestepforward's post concerning the Friday show, as revealed in his tweet. Hope they will all rethink this. He is needed.
