Denny's Restaraunts responds to its dipsh...err franchisee's comments

Comments from an owner of multiple franchises including Denny’s regarding his plans to offset the
expected costs associated with the Affordable Care Act were recently brought to our attention. While
we respect the decision of an independent business owner to speak out on this topic, these statements
do not capture the respect by Denny’s, the Denny’s Franchisee Association or our franchise community
at large for our hardworking employees or for our valued customers.

All in all, pretty milktoast but they might benefit from more people pointing out how despicable this ass is and suggesting they disenfranchise him.

1. Never owned a franchise, but I'll bet there's some kind of "don't diminish the brand" clause ...

... that might be applied to asshats like this.

If I was a Denny's franchisee I'd be screaming at the mothership to quash this guy.

4. Every Franchise agreement has it

If it's not exercised, then Denny's agrees with him. There is zero middle ground.

2. It's somewhat comforting to know that at least their corporate office isn't being

so crackpot stupid about it.

3. WRONG. Franchisees ALWAYS reflect the position of the Francise

Either Denny's revokes his franchise or they agree with him.

There is no middle ground here.

5. Denny's Corporate may be speaking softly in public,

but I can guarantee that their attorneys are not being so soft-spoken with that idiot franchise owner today. He's about to discover a clause in his franchise agreement that he had forgotten, and he will learn about it in depth during the conversation with those attorneys.

Expect a public statement of apology from the franchisee sometime very soon.

6. Note the lack of a declaration that it wouldn't become company-wide policy?
