am I the only person suspicious of the guy committing suicide because of obama's re-election

story?

I read the following paragraph, and my evil little mind thought, hmmm, partner could off the guy, write the words, and then just go to sleep and wait for the police (because it appears from the story that they were in the same house, but had not spoken since the election? something VERY weird there, or a very poorly written story)

A friend of Hamilton had been worried about him and had a standing request to police to make welfare checks. Officer Pablo Rodriguez did just that and when he went to the condo, he woke up Cossey, prompting the discovery of Hamilton’s body in the bedroom.
Dykes reported finding two empty prescription bottles, one for Xanax and one for Seroquel, used to treat anxiety and schizophrenia, respectively.
Cossey told police Hamilton “has been very stressed about his business,” and the last time they had spoken was “when we watched the election results” on Nov. 6.

2. as I said in the beginning, thinking maybe the partner did it--that whole story is just ridiculous.

3. kinda hard to force someone to swallow a bunch of pills

And then you'd have to hold him down till he died. Not the average way someone goes about killing someone, think you're probably overthinking this one.

6. I dunno, the presence of

a benzodiazepine and an anti-psychotic kind of implies he might have been in the risk group to commit suicide. (Assuming of course the pills were his.) Seroquel is also used for bipolar disorder, and that would put him in one of the highest risk groups for both non-compliance and for suicide.

From http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10826661
At least 25% to 50% of patients with bipolar disorder also attempt suicide at least once.

I think he was just someone that couldn't or didn't get the help he needed, and it ended badly.

7. Depression is not logical.

Wishing for death is a goal for many. It was for me. Thankfully, I was "suicidally ideated," but if I'd had access to this guy's drug arsenal I may have done it.

It's not logical at all. And when you experience it, it's a pain that goes beyond any physical pain you could ever feel. Death becomes something you wish for, as twisted as that is.

I don't recommend it. LIFE is a blast!

8. Can't blame you for thinking it

While this particular story doesn't pique my suspicions, I find myself wondering about a lot of deaths labeled suicide. Covering up murder is as old as laws against it. Or maybe I watch too much Investigation Discovery.

10. I'm a dedicated mystery buff, and I could just see how that story would work out.

9. I found the story confusing...

when they use the word partner are they talking about a gay couple or business partners who live in the same house? I read it as a gay couple but it would be odd for a gay man in Key West, FL to be a conservative. Not impossible but not very likely in my mind. And if they were a couple why hadn't they spoken since the election?

The story is weird or poorly written or both.

11. that was my thought, as well. I checked several sources, and none of them made any sense.
