Some good news for low income kids with no internet at home

Just found out via my daughter's school, Comcast has a program called Internet Essentials.

If you are located where Comcast offers Internet service, at least one child is receiving free or reduced price lunches from the National School Lunch Program, you have not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days, and you do not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment, you may qualify for the program.

It includes internet for $9.95 a month plus tax with no price increases, activation fees or equipment rental fees; Norton Security Suite, identity theft protection and other services; and free internet training. You can also get a low-cost computer at initial enrollment for $149.99 plus tax.

For more info call 1-855-8-INTERNET (1-855-846-8376) or visit InternetEssentials.com

3. Wow, Comcast does something good?

I'm impressed. Doen't mean I'm going to resubscribe to their overpriced service, though.
