All I want for Christmas is $14,000 in medical debt.

I emailed my sister a link to the OP (below) regarding Occupy's Rolling Jubilee successfully purchasing medical debts for pennies on the dollar, then forgiving that debt.

In return, she told me all she wanted for Christmas was $14,000 in medical debt. I thought, great idea. I'm enrolling her two sons in my scheme (little steep for me alone), and we will make a donation in her name as a Christmas gift. Knowing her, I'm wholly confident she will appreciate it more than she would a new car, which she wasn't getting anyway.

I think her idea is terrific, and I'm asking my kids for a donation too. A gift that keeps on giving.
