Re Andrea Mitchell's health
I think we spoke about this a while back.
Her halting speech pattern seems so bad that it may be indicative of some ill. She seems unable to form sentences easily. She seems as if her mouth and her brain are only intermittently connected to one another. Does anyone know if she has health issues?

2. I know it's not nice to speculate, and I mean no harm here, but

if she is over 60 years old (not sure of her age) the rates of Alzheimer's disease are very troubling for all those over 65. It really shocked me when I learned the statistics about that. My godmother and my FIL have both been diagnosed with dementia recently and so I've been learning what i could about it and it looks like a real epidemic among those who are older, unfortunately. And from what I've seen and learned so far, that kind of thing could be a very early sign of impending dementia.
Again, no disrespect intended towards her, just thinking out loud. |

3. She's always spoken that way...I can barely stand listening to her
|
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in Sept., 2011. She belongs in the print media, where she got her start. I also think she has trouble reading the teleprompter. She's an excellent reporter, but not suited to television.

4. Yes... she has never been good at ad libbing and less so when she is clarly tired...
|
I don't think that is uncommon at any age, but certainly more so when sleep-deprived, stressed, and older.
I have seen quite a few of the male "talent" ramble similarly when tired--Tweety being among them. |

5. Long, rambling questions.
|
She seems to have difficulty in asking questions. Can't keep her thoughts concise and to the point. Her guests look uncomfortable as she drones on.

from all the meds she had to take. My SIL has the same problems after her recovery. Still has her acid tongue, which I love, but her reading skills took a hit from the Chemo.

11. Yes, and again this morning on MJ. Mika asked her a question and she was just silent, smiling
|
into the camera. Then Mika said "Andrea?" She was zoned out.
My guess is that she has chem brain. She'll be better after her therapy finishes up... |
