2. That office seems to be a stepping stone for republicans to get the most powerful office in Texas.

Lt. Governor David Dewhurst was land commissioner and current land commissioner Jerry Patterson will now probably run for Lt. Governor against Dewhurst. With no Democrats in state office, republicans can only run against each other these days. It ought to get interesting.

4. I'm afraid that this Bush could be a threat given his ethnic composition.

Hopefully, in the world of the internet, his indiscretions won't get buried as easily as "Ws"
