The 0-99 anti-Obama Budget Senate Vote Lie

I just heard this repeated by Mara Liarson on NPR this morning.

She was saying how the President is proposing the same budget as he did last year that was rejected by the Senate, 0-99.

Liarson didn't clarify that be saying that the budget that was proposed and rejected by the Senate with no details as how the money was supposed to be spent. It wasn't President Obama's budget and the media keeps repeating this lie.

The most obvious political vote of the session was a 0-99 roll call on President Barack Obama’s budget blueprint — which was offered by Republicans. While that tally is sure to become fodder for campaign ads, Democrats dismissed it as a political stunt since there was no real policy language attached to the Obama budget.
