What if Texas secedes?

Due to recent petitions of people wanting to secede (90,000+ for Texas) I found this gem of Keith Olbermann (when he was at MSNBC) explaining the consequences those who think it might be a good idea.

1. I miss Olbermann on TV. His show was the best written news show in all of TV.

12. Yes, it really was

and we could have used his commentary during this recent election. I think it would have made a huge difference.

6. But but but but.....

I still have my land grant from The Republic of Texas, signed by Anson Jones in 1845.
When do I get my land?

11. We know, but Olbermann's response is much better to the idiots who want to

than simply saying you can't.

14. Texas is home to almost 26 million people

At last count, there's about 70,000 idiots who signed that stupid petition.

We've had this secession myth since before I was born. It's always been a wee pile of bovine fecal matter.
