(3,747 posts)He was the big proponent of the surge in Iraq (what did that do but kill more people?) and now of drone strikes in Pakistan. What part of this is showing how big his dick is and real military strategy?

(62,325 posts)remind them how they defended him and called everyone who questioned his integrity back then, traitors.
It's not hard to find their own words and they should have to acknowledge that once again, the instincts of Progressives were correct. A man who is willing to lie for his president, Bush at that time, is not a man of 'impeccable morals and integrity' as they claimed.

(62,325 posts)of the disaster in Iraq to the American people. Most Democrats at the time, including President Obama, agreed with them.
He was brought to Congress to try to push Bush's failed policies in order to keep that war going. THAT is a much more egregious betrayal than any private affair he may have had.
Freepers viciously attacked Dems for calling his testimony into question, calling him a man of impeccable morals and principles etc.
So yes, Progressives were right to attack his credibility at that time. And apparently he was not after all a 'man of impeccable morals and principles' if he was willing to claim success in Iraq when all the evidence proved otherwise.
