Pat Robertson on Petraeus: '100 Mile Rule in Play'

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/13/pat-robertson-on-general-_n_2123111.html

Television evangelist and ultraconservative Pat Robertson doesn't think General David Petraeus should be condemned for his affair with writer Paula Broadwell. After all, she is "an extremely good looking woman" and "he's a man."

Robertson excused CIA Director Petraeus for the extramarital affair with his biographer, Broadwell, on Monday's episode of "The 700 Club," the flagship program of the Christian Broadcasting Network.

"Who knows?" he said. "The man's off in a foreign land and he's lonely and here's a good looking lady throwing herself at him. I mean, he's a man."

He also alluded to Broadwell's wiles. "She is an extremely good looking woman. She is a marathon runner. She runs Iron Man triathlons. So she's out running with him and writing a biography. I think the term is 'propinquity.'"

FYI, The Hundred Mile Rule:
When you are more than 100 miles away from your significant other, you may do whatever you want, including cheat on them

7. Or should the 5-second rule apply?

She falls on the floor and Petraeus gets 5 seconds to jump on her penalty free.

8. "Propinquity". I've learned a new word today.

In social psychology, propinquity (from Latin propinquitas, "nearness") is one of the main factors leading to interpersonal attraction. It refers to the physical or psychological proximity between people. Propinquity can mean physical proximity, a kinship between people, or a similarity in nature between things ("like-attracts-like"). Two people living on the same floor of a building, for example, have a higher propinquity than those living on different floors, just as two people with similar political beliefs possess a higher propinquity than those whose beliefs strongly differ.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propinquity

I don't think it's in the Bible though.

Really so the "hundred mile rule" makes an affair OK but two gay people who love each other cannot get married. Fuck that shit.

22 days a month,

Does that give him a free pass?

HELL NO.

Betrayus just thinks he gets a free pass since he's "obviously important".

A man in a foreign land who doesn't have an affair....like my husband. Pig!!!!! Believe me, my husband has no respect for Petraeus, and that was before the affair.

Wait, I thought he had the affair after the Army, while in the CIA....that would be here, living with his wife....not in a foreign land....Pat is a fool...
