We won nothing. They are still in charge, nonstop propaganda rules and 1%ers still have all the $$

We are fighting just to end the Bush tax cuts?

Seriously.

They aren't going to change.

Are we going to change what we are doing?

Who are our leaders?

3. Exactly! And we can start by never calling earned benefits "entitlements".

That word has a negative connotation and it's incorrect to boot. People pay into Social Security and Medicare. They're not getting a hand-out like corporations do. They are the entitled ones.

We are still playing on their turf.

We need to stop appeasing.

We need a leader to make the news, not follow the stupid ass corporate whores.

Being able to overturn Citizens United and making sure nothing happens to Roe V. Wade will be more than worth it.

11. Actually, WE the people just did an 'in your face' to citizens united

I am actually really happy about the election, and what it says about our country.

All the money and lies on the corporate media, even secret software for stealing elections..and we still beat those assholes!

I am just trying to snap people our of learned helplessness or the idea we are spectators in our own democracy.

Our Democratic 'leaders' have proven they sort of suck. Sorry.

I think WE the PEOPLE of the Democratic Party won this election, not them, and WE the People need to start calling the shots.

And we can use the power of the net, just as we did to win this election.

What ideas do our 'leaders' have? Just undoing the Bush tax cuts. Seriously.

WE need to do a helluva lot more than that!

10. K&R! The people need to stand up and say "enough."

Otherwise, nothing will change. This administration will continue to implement a Third Way agenda unless we raise bloody hell. Already we hear that Michelle Rhee may be a contender to head The Department of Education. We also hear that Elizabeth Warren may NOT be appointed to the Banking committee.

And already we hear that Obama is thinking of moving Kerry to DoD and weakening our progressive voting majority in the Senate, just as he did in 2008.

Glenn Greenwald describes and has provided example after example of how the corporate faction of our Democratic representation plays this game over and over again: claiming to support progressive policies only when it can be arranged that they will not pass.

The Democrats' Deceitful Game

It's time to stop denying what is going on here and DEMAND that our voices be heard and our mandate protected.

13. Proceed Governor

Sir just for the record the President doesn't have to do anything this term. He can let the Republicans be JERKS all he wants. The Republicans learned nothing. 20 woman were voted into office. Dems picked up in all the areas didn't lose. More people voted for Dems in the House then they did Republicans. The only reason that Republicans kept the House is they rigged the counties. If you want to focus on anything focus on a 50 state plan. You have to build a strong dem base in every state at every local government so that the Republicans can not do this. That is how the Republicans get away with it because dems do not focus on a 50 State plan like Howard Dean wanted.

We have no evidence that our leaders, on either side, are going to actually do what needs to be done to fix the nation's problems.

WE the people have to take the lead.

I make an analogy with a world history major. Just my luck.
LOL

Still, I have some confidence that the country is moving in the right direction. Government moves like it's in setting concrete if it moves at all, but that's how a two party system is designed to work. we the people can't snap our fingers and expect an immediate reaction.

Our politicians aren't even talking about what really needs to be done.

The corporate media is still leading the dialogue and we really need to do something to put them in their place.

They lost all credibility. They should be ashamed for lying for Romney non stop, and it wasn't just FOX news.

They openly shill for the 1%, against our interests, on our public airwaves.

25. WE have to prosecute FRAUD first of all, then tax the looters

California is in debt for the exact same amount of money that Arnold let Enron off the hook for.

I wonder how much money we could return to the treasury if we prosecuted fraud?

And then we follow the late great Huey Long....

Long created the Share Our Wealth program in 1934 with the motto "Every Man a King", proposing new wealth redistribution measures in the form of a net asset tax on corporations and individuals to curb the poverty and homelessness endemic nationwide during the Great Depression. To stimulate the economy, Long advocated federal spending on public works, schools and colleges, and old age pensions. He was an ardent critic of the Federal Reserve System's policies. Charismatic and immensely popular for his programs and willingness to take forceful action, Long was accused by his opponents of dictatorial tendencies for his near-total control of the state government.

A leftist populist, he was preparing to challenge FDR's reelection in 1936 in alliance with radio's influential Catholic priest Charles Coughlin, or run for president in 1940 when Franklin Roosevelt was expected to retire. However, Long was assassinated in 1935; his national movement faded, while his state organization continued in Louisiana.

Whenever someone gets assassinated like this....they must be on to something....
