Cantor lies about "whistleblower", was anything but

Cantor lies about "whistleblower", was anything but
by JohnAdams999

Turns out Cantor's "whistleblower" was not a whistleblower but a person who sent shirtless pics to one of the women in the investigation and leaked it to Cantor for political purposes because he thought it was a "coverup for Obama".

Ms. Kelley, a volunteer with wounded veterans and military families, brought her complaint to a rank-and-file agent she knew from a previous encounter with the F.B.I. office, the official also said. That agent, who had previously pursued a friendship with Ms. Kelley and had earlier sent her shirtless photographs of himself, was “just a conduit” for the complaint, he said. He had no training in cybercrime, was not part of the cyber squad handling the case and was never assigned to the investigation.

But the agent, who was not identified, continued to “nose around” about the case, and eventually his superiors “told him to stay the hell away from it, and he was not invited to briefings,” the official said. The Wall Street Journal first reported on Monday night that the agent had been barred from the case.

And more:

Later, the agent became convinced — incorrectly, the official said — that the case had stalled. Because of his “worldview,” as the official put it, he suspected a politically motivated cover-up to protect President Obama. The agent alerted Eric Cantor, the House majority leader, who called the F.B.I. director, Robert S. Mueller III, on Oct. 31 to tell him of the agent’s concerns.

The official said the agent’s self-described “whistle-blowing” was “a little embarrassing” but had no effect on the investigation.

So basically this entire scandal both at the outset and in the denouement was driven by Freakshow FBI Agent X who both wanted to bed the victim of the alleged harassment and also decided that the FBI was covering up it’s investigation of the Tampa socialite to protect President Obama. And this because of his “worldview”. Please let us meet this awesome example of American law enforcement.

1. I heard this on MSNBC yesterday....

The FBI agent deserves to be drawn and quartered for this.

Here's my question...Was Cantor acting honorably when he didn't report this to Boehner and other Republicans....or was he hoping to take advantage of this himself in some way....or is this just another case of one Republican male protecting another?

7. I just said in another post

Cantor only told a select few people. I speculate that he was going to try to get Gen P to say a falsehood in the Benghazi hearing, that Cantor could use to impeach Obama. Making cantor the hero on the right. I think Gen P, wouldn't play the game and his affair exposed. No Democrats were informed

These are republicans we are talking about. What they do, is much worse than what I think they are doing.

18. Very true. If we think it's bad, there's something worse going on underneath.

I just hope Obama has the scope of this, and they can turn the tables on the traitors.

4. "Based on what we're learning this morning...

<...>

Based on what we're learning this morning, it appears much of this scandal was fueled by bizarre personal conduct, and a strange FBI agent who was a little too eager to undermine President Obama before the election with a controversy that had nothing to do with the White House.

Indeed, had the FBI agent in question not believed weird conspiracy theories about the president, he wouldn't have gone to Republican lawmakers, who in turn wouldn't have pushed the issue, which means the Petraeus scandal -- which involved no criminal wrongdoing -- probably would have gone away without further incident.

http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/_news/2012/11/13/15136065-petraeus-sex-scandal-manages-to-get-even-stranger

Seems like some Republicans were aiming for a set up and it back fired.

Idiots.

I can live with that.

15. This is the part that I love the best!

Any way we look at this, the Republicans lost big. They lost Petraeus, who was their guy embedded in the Obama administration, first in charge of both wars and then in charge of the CIA, and a probable 2016 contender.

21. ^^ This ^^

it's called the long term game and they've lost big time and there I believe there is more to come, some people are going to pay for the loss of Ambassador Stevens life.

Team kick ass are not in play mode. These are the sign to look for which will give you an indication of how Obama is going to run his second term.

KICK ASS MODE has been triggered, no more Mr Nice Guy.

"Re-pube-lickers" is the preferred form in MY Strunk & White.

5. What did Cantor know and when did he know it.

What's he hiding? How did he know the FBI agent? Silly, I know but seems Central Command needs to move out of Tampa. It always bothered me that Tommy Franks would sit in Tampa and supposedly run the wars, probably in between rounds of golf and parties.

16. But how did the "shirtless FBI agent" know that the harassing emails would lead to

the administration or the general? Perhaps he was already monitoring the emails and knew of the affair or affairs, both Paula and Jill. I'm leaning toward the blackmail theory. They were attempting to blackmail General Petraeus. Now I am beginning to believe that Jill did not report anything to the shirtless guy, especially if she was having an affair with the other general; she would not want to be exposed on that. The shirtless guy was reading her emails back and forth to the other general and got a little worked up and decided he would get in on the action by sending a shirtless photo of himself. Very strange behavior, indeed!

Grasping at straws because of a "worldview" might mean his windmill is leaning too!

19. Sheesh! No KIDDING! Well, michael isikoff is ALIVE AND ON FIRE! He sure loves a sex scandal.

Just saw him on MSNBC, and was struck by his body language. Eyes wide open, almost bugging out at times, eyebrows dancing up and down, leaning in toward the camera with his head slightly cocked to the side, "lettin' you in on the dirty stuff." He reminded me of Rona Barrett, the onetime Hollywood gossip columnist. She always delivered her lines, on camera, with her head cocked in this sly little sideways posture where she was kinda looking at you with a wink and an "oooh, tsk-tsk, guess what I found out!" He made me think of her immediately. Almost shameless. He was damn near drooling. Somebody needs to give that guy a bib! Or maybe his own peep show.

Same stuff went on during the Monica Lewinsky business. OMG was he slobbering back then!!! And when all that settled down and the scandals and potential scandals in the bush/cheney administration came and went with nary an eyelash batting, and he'd reliably come up with SQUAT time after time, I concluded that the guy was utterly useless, and couldn't find his way around an investigation unless there was a stained blue dress and a Clinton involved.

Well, michael isikoff sure is back up and cranking today! He's got a juicy new sex scandal to sink his teeth into. Oh boy! I swear - he could hardly sit still. I'm surprised he didn't arrive on the set with a knife and fork.

But, with a hard-on like this, I'm sure he's probably gonna dig up some kinda dirt. This kind of story is REALLY his thing!
