The irrational hatred of our President
I just finished playing golf with a friend. Seemingly normal guy but I know he is very conservative. He said he was mildly surprised at Obama winning but he is always saying he has never run a business.Typical garbage. I never notice these people ever questioning that Reagan never ran a business. That being said I brought up Patreus and the "Bengazi" issue was front and center. I could just tell that he wants to eventually use this to impeach Obama.
There must be nights when Michelle is so down to know that so many people hate her husband yet she powers through. This irrational hatred is so overwhelming. I can not think of a better more giving person than Barack. He is everything I would want might kids to grow to be like him. To embody his kindness. Barack is a special person and I am so proud he is our President.

3. The hatred is not only racial

It has to do with the fact that they know he has rare skills as a politician.
That makes him dangerous to those who believe that self-interest is the only true motivation. They struggle to find a self-serving, secret narrative for Obama because that's the only agenda they can accept. My post on this .... http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021774721 |

Glad you're here! You make a good point. They resent what they can't defeat. They resent how their lies and distortions and trickery and voter suppression DIDN'T WORK!!! And all their money. All their king's horses and all their king's men couldn't put Humpty-romney in the White House. (Or would that be romney Dumpty?)

Great points, everyone. Even if you don't agree with his politics, I don't see how you could hate him. He is a good person and stays above the bs. It's really unbelievable, the hatred shown towards him.

sing on TV, and that's all Wonderful! Some bigots would never say a bad word directly to a minority member. However,
It's just not ok that he's a brilliant, effective, cool, handsome, reasonable president. Bigots usually have an invisible line where the bigotry starts. They can even live with black religious leaders, but not President. That undermine's their shaky self-esteem too much. |

I doubt the hatred is absorbed to any meaningful degree by the First couple, tho. We do know that the president's response is to keep his head up an d do his job to the best of his ability. I doubt he spends more than a minute dwelling on it all.
Impeachment over Benghazi? Ha! The entire republican party looks like it's itching to self-destruct, rather than govern. That would definitely be their undoing. |
