Isnt it amusing how some very wealthy white pundits think that this is their country, as they make millions on daily hate speech made up completely from straw men and red herrings?

I went to bed last night thinking we are outnumbered,
I went to bed last night thinking weve lost the country. I dont know how else you look at this.

Perhaps the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II, said something like that when he first met Hernán Cortés, just before Moctezuma was killed for his gold

The white establishment is now the minority,
And the voters, many of them,
want stuff.
People feel that they are entitled to things

I wonder if Paspahegh territory Chief Wahunsenacawh felt that way in 1607 as his land was renamed Jamestown by Captain John Smiths colony?
Or maybe the Pokanoket chief Massasoit expressed similar sentiments as William Brewster and Myles Standish renamed his land Plymouth Colony in 1621

These two white guys cannot stomach the reality that there are people of other colors in this world, and this country, and more are coming and being born every day...
How incredibly ironic!

(18,623 posts)I recall years ago talking to a DittoHead Friend of mine.
He echoed Limbaugh's sentiments that black people shouldn't vote because they don't know anything about politics and just vote a straight democrat ticket. My friend, on the other hand, thoroughly studied the issues and the candidate's policy positions before going to the polls and voting a straight republican ticket.
For decades republicans became used to the fact that the democrats that outnumbered them would find something else to do on election day besides vote. Republicans are taught by their conservative fathers to vote every time. Even if no one is on the ballot but dog catcher, they're told to go in there and vote for the republican dog catcher.
They're upset that web based GOTV efforts instituted by Howard Dean in 2004 have brought many democrats to the polls who never voted before and are now resorting solely to suppressing those votes. I don't think things are going back to the way they were.
