2. Yea and Elizabeth Warren is in the Senate. I'm so happy to have these people in place to
|
help us bring sanity and accountability into our Republican damaged country.

3. Yes. That was one of the first results we knew about Tuesday for sure. From Alan's email:

The Biggest Comeback in the History of the House
We won. And our victory last night was the biggest comeback in the history of the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2010, we lost by 18 points. In 2012, last night, we won by 25 points, 62.5% to 37.5%. That's a 43-point swing, back to victory. No one has ever done that before. We made history. Our polling shows that we won every county, every municipality, every race, every age group, every language group and each gender. We won it all. So to every voter, thank you. To the 100,000 supporters who contributed this campaign, whether it was a dollar or $5,000, thank you. To the volunteers who made more than a quarter of a million live phone calls to get out our vote, thank you. To our brilliant canvassing staff of fifty, who have knocked on doors every single day since March, thank you. To the thousands of people who wrote to us to give your advice or express your support, or forwarded our e-mails to your friends, or followed our campaign on Facebook, thank you. To everyone who marches behind the standards of justice, equality and peace, thank you. If you helped in any way, large or small, then you can savor this sweet moment. You made it happen. Congratulations to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Tammy Baldwin, Sherrod Brown and Tammy Duckworth. Goodbye, Allen West. I have a feeling that this won't be the only time that we make history. In fact, if we all work together this way, you can count on it. Courage, Alan Grayson |

12. Alan Grayson is the best.
|
I've considered moving to that hellhole (And spare me - I lived there for a year. Maybe it's different if you're one of those rare natives.) called Florida, just to be able to vote for him.
He's the best guy in the House. Again. |

15. I grew up just south of Ocala Florida
|
Had fond memories until I went back as a twenty something. That place is seriously messed up. Key West, though, continues to rock my world. And Alan Grayson rocks my world as well.

16. Key West is the Floridian equivalent of...
|
Austin; in Texas.
It has no bearing - neither politically nor socio-demographically - at all, on the state as a whole. But yeah, Key West is pretty cool. I could live there. But as I've mentioned before, as soon as the Castro brothers (Fidel and Raoul) are both dead, Florida goes blue. Soon now... |

17. Funny you should mention that......
|
I moved from Florida to San Antonio, Texas for 16 miserable years. Then the last five were in Austin, not just Austin but south Austin - an oasis in a truly effed up state. I am finally, blessedly done with the south. Living in the bluest county in the beautiful state of Washington. We passed Marriage Equality and oh yeah, weed.
I'm never moving again! |

13. There wasn't much not to like about last Tuesday for liberals
|
And maybe we even have enough momentum this time to push our President to the left a bit.
