Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

If you're a Private First Class (Bradley Manning), you get solitary and forced nudity. If you're

a 4-star General (Be-Tray-Us), you get to resign and keep all your pension benefits.

Un-friggin-believable.

2. Oh wait. Manning exposed war crimes and Be-Tray-Us

committed war crimes. That explains it.

(in case it's needed).

4. This is the way it always is.....

I don't condone Manning's actions. They are treasonous by any measure as a member of the military. The treason he exposed should of course have come out and those responsible prosecuted.

But it is always those at the top that get away with everything even when they ordered the atrocities. I have no doubt Be-tray-us is guilty of horrendous crimes and should be subject to life imprisonment if not death under current U.S. law. But we always look the other way. Obama is NO different.

Don't get me wrong. I voted for Obama and support him but there is a level at which they all collude in their crimes...kind of a good ole boys club. Unfortunately rather than rejecting that, Obama has be drawn in hook, line and sinker. It is sad but reality.

5. Your post is worthy of a Tolstoy or Dostoevsky. IIRC, only William

Calley and a couple underneath him were prosecuted for My Lai. Those above, um, not so much.
