7. Think about being in that situation; he would very likely have HAD to comply & they would NOT

have wanted money. They would have demanded security information.

23. I thought he was retired from the army

Since when do you still wear the uniform after retiring.

I do find that odd at least.

5. Sad--he really biffed it.

You have to wonder if he'd had affairs in the military, and didn't think that being the head of the CIA is a different ballgame in terms of conduct.

6. And if foreign intelligence operatives had found out about the affair, he would have been easy prey

to blackmail and whatever payment might have been demanded, it very likely would NOT have been money, more likely he could have been blackmailed with demands for security information.

8. Well said. Eisenhower had an affair with his driver, Kay Summersby.

He got elected President, twice.

12. She wrote a book in 1948 and left the affair out. She didn't

talk about it until a book written when Eisenhower was dead and she was dying. Harry Truman reportedly said Eisenhower wanted to get divorced and marry her. His story was that General Marshall talked Ike out of it by threatening dire consequences.

20. Many people didn't know FDR was confined to a wheelchair.

The press and even the Repubs made no mention of it 'cause that would have been considered very bad form.

But still...I do not understand. Those, like he, John Edwards...etc...do they not see the damage they will cause themselves and their families?

members of the Bush Junta for war crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated on the people of Iraq.
