So is it ok to start calling him Betrayus again, since that's exactly what he apparently did?
The right was just incensed (INCENSED!!!) when MoveOn came up with the Betrayus moniker. If it turns out that his biographer/lover was the source of White House leaks, then I guess the name fits better than ever.
Background on the Betrayus controversy, for those who want a refresher: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MoveOn.org_ad_controversy

1. I think the General's resignation...

2. My guess is that the Republicans knew about this months ago.
|
He was their favorite general and they did not want to expose his extramarital affair until after the election. Petraeus was also a loyal soldier and did not want to screw up the election for Obama. It was a win-win situation for both sides.

3. You may be right about that

I'll be very interested to see if it comes to light that this biographer was leaking information from the White House. I hadn't thought about Petraeus being a loyal soldier to Obama, since he was brought to prominence by Bush. But maybe you've got something there.

I sure as heck want to know. --- wait, wasn't there a story a short while ago about Woodward calling on a CIA person to visit him at home for some reason? I have no idea why this comes up in my head now and I don't even know if that is what happened or related to anything. I don't trust that Woodward sleaze so maybe that's why. |

9. Yes, Woodward claims the Romney campaign gave him a source with CIA information
|
but when he attempted to meet the source, the source backed down and canceled the meeting. If she had access to Petraeus' laptop/emails and she was talking to Romney's campaign, this could be the biggest political scandal since Watergate.

And the end of Romney whether he knew about it or not. I hope that's not where this is going.
