Florida May Have Election Results By Noon Saturday
Tallahassee, Florida - Three days after the election, Florida still waited for a final tally in the presidential race as Palm Beach County worked to finish counting its absentee ballots.
State election officials said they expected Palm Beach to wrap up their work on Friday. All counties must report their voting results to the state by noon Saturday so Floridians -- and the nation -- will definitely know then who won Florida and if a recount is necessary. On Friday afternoon, President Obama led Mitt Romney by about 60,000 votes out of 8.4 million cast in Florida. That's outside the one-half of one percent margin that would trigger a recount, so it looks as though Florida will avoid a recount and President Obama will win Florida. http://www.digtriad.com/news/article/253699/57/Florida-Election-Results-By-Noon-Saturday

4. I think it was their right wing nut job legislature, governor and (yes) their SOS
|
My understanding was that the legislature voted to shorten the duration of early voting (as well as designing ballot proposals to confuse and dissuade voters), their governor refused to extend it (early voting)... and of course their nitwit secretary of state.
This was a concerted effort to suppress the vote ... they all need to be investigated by the feds for attempting to do this. |

BTW - I totally agree that all the FL state officials involved should be investigated, and charged accordingly.. |

6. So why haven't any of the big news outlets assigned the FL EVs to Obama?
|
If they could call other states on election night with partial results, what's the story here? Are they going to wait for Nov 20th when Florida certifies the results?
Or are they just waiting for tomorrow when it will be announced whether they are past the recount threshold? Even if it was within 0.5%, why would they even bother to recount for the Presidential race when the outcome is determined, and the Romney camaign has conceded that Obama won the state? |
