1. None of these companies will do any better for it
|
and most will do worse as poor service drives people to their competitors. So will trained staff.
Silly asses will just never get that spite is a poor thing to base business decisions on. |

11. Yes, someone needs to vet this list
|
I noticed ING-Ericsson in the list and googled it. It looks like this one may be layoffs in Europe, not the US. Again, like RIM which is obviously a company losing relevance to APPL, etc., not taxes or re-election.

4. "prove it" - link? Website press releases?
|
32,717 companies lay off people every day - that list looks small to me. PROVE it was due to the election. or - "they have the tax cuts already - why are they laying off? I thought the 'job creators' needed tax cuts. Guess that was another Country Club Republican talking point." |

I used to work there, so I had to look it up...But I can say with certainty that it has jack shit to do with the election...
http://www.poynter.org/latest-news/mediawire/194919/3-photographers-among-those-laid-off-at-providence-journal/ But as the other posters said, somewhere in America companies are laying off people every day -- Just a selective use of stats to blame Obama, and RWers in the media will run with it because they don't have anything else... I'm curious what kind of "layoff list" I could make if I chose ANY random 72-hour period from any random year going back the past 10... |

16. Almost all companies lay off workers at the end of the year so they...
|
....can report better profits to their stockholders. They're using the President's reelection and potential "fiscal cliff" as cover for taking actions they would take anyway.
