So they're all cutting off contact with liberal family members and friends. Personally...I'm in two minds. ... It's not as much fun as I thought it would be. It's going to be even more difficult to get anything through to them (like it ever would). But... how nice not to have to listen to all that ubelievable bullshit

1. I keep trying. In my family, we try to get along.
|
Even when we disagree, which is often. This often means we don't talk about politics which is a shame. But I consider family to be important.
I try to remember that what is driving them is fear, and fear makes people irrational. (some of them are irrational anyway, but that's a different is I'm definItely one of the outliers in my family. |

5. I finally went to facebook.
|
I've been avoiding it for weeks. It was sad. One family member asked people to stop celebratory posts! Can you imagine what they would have posted had $$$ won? One wrote a long post about all the bad things that were going to happen.

8. Sheesh, we didn't even watch the MSM nooz shows last week, finallly got caught up tonight.
|
And no, this time it didn't get better after President Obama won, the emails and drumbeat were relentless. I finally called my favorite sister racist, just to get her to STFU. Still didn't work. The baseless arguments still kept hitting my inbox, several times a week.

7. Meh, I've heard the same basic sentiment expressed here
|
and that's even following a victory.
I wasn't around in 2000/2004 but I imagine it was much the same following those elections. |
