R$ lost because of Sandy
It wasn't because:
- Seamus's roof ride - Bullying a student in prep school - Saying Corporations are people - Betting $10,000 - Outsourcing - Self-deportation - Being a severely conservative pro-choice anti-assault weapon Governor - Serving in France during Vietnam - Backstabbing Detroit and Ohio - Etch-a-sketch - Trees are the correct height - I like firing people - Picking Ayn Rands love child - Saying Russia was no. 1 enemy - vouchering everything - more zillionaire buddy tax cuts - not releasing past tax forms - having Marie Antoinette as a wife - Fellating Trump, Adelson, Cokes - Having a bad singing voice - Being pro-choice, pro-life, pro-choice, pro-life,..... no, it was Sandy for sure.

5. Those Republicans who are blaming Sandy are driving their party into a ditch.

Last edited Fri Nov 9, 2012, 10:36 AM USA/ET - Edit history (2) Right now, the GOP is a regional party for Birch Society weirdos and religious nuts. It is not nationally viable, nor will it be until the party shakes itself out of it's collective Fox News/hate radio trance and comes back to the real world.

8. Not so fast

we lost huge in 2010. That was only 2 years ago. We need to cement this thing. Fix Citizens United. Fix the ability to disenfranchise voters. Fix the economy by taxing the rich and de-funding the military and not starting any more wars. Making universal health care the law so our industry is competitive worldwide.
I'll bet you have some good ideas. |

while I think Obama would have won regardless of the weather, I will say that Sandy completely knocked Romney off of the 'Front Page' and the winning margin could have been tighter had the storm not occurred.
I never really thought of him as having the momentum that I was being told he had, but he went from being pretty visible and constantly talked about to absolutely non-existent during the storm, which is not something that can help a candidate less than a week from an election. One the other hand, the country got to see Obama doing what a President does and doing it well, and being praised by one of his most vocal critics. In short, while Obama didn't win because of Sandy, she did end up helping to solidify his win. |

10. If anything Sandy stopped the brainwashing...
|
There was like 3 days when political bickering stopped, political ads decreased, and people were united. I think that helped people put things into perspective. It was sort of like the end of the Grinch that stoled Christmas....

11. Um, Sandy almost entirely hit blue states, and hit them the hardest.

I'm sort of curious as to how they sucked this "logic" out of their asses since their heads are so firmly lodged up them.
