UK to end financial aid to India by 2015

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20265583

The UK is to stop giving financial aid to India by 2015, the international development secretary has announced.

Support will be gradually cut by about 200m ($319m) between 2013 and 2015 before being wound up completely.

Minister Justine Greening said the move reflected India's economic progress and status as a global force.

The UK's financial support to India, one of the world's fastest-growing economies, has been controversial for some time - particularly among Tories.

1. Having recently been held hostage in India--I say all aid should be cut

India is corrupt and money sent there just enables the corruption.

2. Continue Giving Aid

If we withdraw aid it won't come out of the space program budget it will come out of the pockets of the poorest and most vulnerable. We don't just give it because they need money anyway, we give it to influence their policy over Pakistan and to make sure they side with us over international affairs not China. This is another half baked policy from the incompetent tory government.
