Kay Bailey Hutchison says Republican candidates ‘said some very stupid things’
Retiring Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas is offering some advice to her party on her way out the door: “Stop trying to act like the woman is a throw-away.” Appearing on CNN Thursday morning, Hutchison joined the second guessing after GOP losses in the presidential race and in other winnable contests, like Senate races in Missouri and Indiana. Hutchison said Republicans have failed to approach abortion, contraception and other social issues with a proper level of sensitivity. “We had Republican candidates who got very high-profile and said some very stupid things,” Hutchison said. “I think that really tainted the party.” http://www.boston.com/politicalintelligence/2012/11/08/kay-bailey-hutchison-says-republican-candidates-said-some-very-stupid-things/QDrGuTM7kbrZOzKo9oQcaL/story.html

1. No. They have some very stupid views of the world
|
They didn't misspeak.
They told the truth and the American people rejected them for the things they believe. |

3. You said it.
|
Please, I don't want them to go to charm school. It would only be window dressing the same sick views they've always held. I actually prefer when they speak honestly.

5. Your party has been tainted for a LONG time, Kay
|
Remember this guy?
And this guy? (Hint: His administration holds some sort of record for being tainted: at least 138 administration officials investigated, indicted and/or convicted) And this guy? "Mistook" his hunting partner for a little bird, among other things.

7. If she meant it, she would have endorsed the Democrat running as her replacement. She said nothing.
|
She stood by and watched the GOP put an extremist Teahadist to take her place. whose views are just as radical as those she's finally talking about.
She's excusing misogyny by acting like it's a mistake. It's not. Let her leave in ignominy like the rest of her GOP Klan that she thought was more important than women. Lady, you are way too late, you can shut up now just like you did all those years when you could have made a difference. |
