12. It was delayed here due to the election

but the clip is from the British film awards and maybe this film was played in Britain first.

14. looked it up

this is apparently a Los Angeles award and not for the film. It is for excellence in film and sounds like a life time achievement thing. South Park's creators won a similar award for comedy.

32. It was!

He's just so absorbed in his characters. You don't see DDL; you see the character. I can't wait to see Lincoln. I really loved him in The Boxer, too. Just an amazing talent.

23. DDL's acting is spellbinding.

I'm surprised he didn't win an academy for Gangs Of New York.

AN awesome movie. Had to go and read the book (a true story) on which it was based.

with my daughter who is an associate counsel with the Directors' Guild, complete with a question-and-answer session afterwards with Stephen Spielberg himself. La-de-dah.

25. DDL lives not far from me

Lives in a place called Annamoe, can often be seen cycling around the town. Seems to favor the 'Hippie' look when not in the spotlight with an impressive beard and wears his hair long. Universally popular with the locals and gets involved in a lot of charities.
