CNN Popular Vote Tally: Obama Just Passed 3 Million Vote Margin
I've been watching this on and off all day. For the first time in the last 20 minutes or so, Obama's margin of victory over Romney just crossed 3 million votes. The numbers at present:
Obama: 61,164,405 Romney: 58,159,408 Margin: 3,004,997 Just as a note, Bush's margin over Kerry was 3,012,166. Obama is within less than 8,000 votes of Bush's margin.

That I heard today that President Obama lost at least 800,000 votes in the northeast because of Superstorm Sandy. Granted, those votes were not needed, but they should be taken into consideration when determining the size of the mandate.

2. you know when the Media was going on about how Romney may win the Popular Vote
|
and the idiots who dont' understand how votes are counted thought Romney was ahead based on republican areas being counted first ?
a lot of wingnuts were writing about how we need to switch to popular vote. and how unfair the system is. but i haven't heard much about it since Obama got ahead in popular. |

It projected far more than a few tens of thousand votes outstanding in California. Overall, it projected about a 3.9 million advantage to Obama when all the results from all the states are finally in.

San Diego is the second largest city in CA - LA, which has even better numbers for Obama, just under 70% - http://rrccmain.co.la.ca.us/0012_FederalContest_Frame.htm -
There are a lot of outstanding votes in CA still - and those votes will increase the lead. |
