Rubio's heading to Iowa.

From Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad's political team a bit ago:

Saturday, November 17, 2012

5:30 p.m. Sen. Marco Rubio headlines annual Branstad birthday fundraiser
The Palace Theater, Adventureland
305 34th Ave. N.W.
Altoona, IA

Jonathan Martin and I wrote about 2016 in terms of the Clinton and Bush dynasties today, but Rubio very much remains on the minds of Republicans looking to fix an image and demographic problem.

11. Never get out of the primaries. They will want someone even further to the Right.

The Bagger nutbars want to double down, I say let them.

6. No. But he does. He's trying to pre-empt Jeb I guess. I wouldn't want to get in Bush & Company's

cross hairs. It's already been promised to Jeb, I'm quite sure.

7. Republicans who are hyped up like this have always turned out to be disappointments, look at Fred

Thompson, Rick Perry. though jindal didn't run that one speech he gave in response to Obama pretty much ruled him out of running for pres this year.
