Boehner/McConnel Already Not Taking Obama's Calls
0Obama called each of these dogs when the election was called. He was told that they were in bed. Exactly what anyone would do to a president!! He seriously cannot let crap like this slide again. He needs to declare in no uncertain terms "I AM THE PRESIDENT"!!! He needs to slap these racists across the face immediately .....the line has to be drawn today, not sometime later.

20. Decorum? Extending an invitation to talk about the issues?
|
There are MANY reasons that he would call them to discuss issues that matter to this country.
And I guaranfuckingtee that if he did NOT call them, that would be seen as an insult and they would be whining 24/7 for an apology for the slight. |

|
Besides, a lot of those Republicans have been stuck with the "No Raising Taxes Pledge".
By clearly stating now that they will let the Bush Tax Cuts expire, they can say, now let's create a different Tax Cut replacement. They can now formulate it to better stimulate the economy. |

38. They've been doing that type of behavior throughout the past four years.
|
My point is that he is making no progress by continuing to publicly reaching out
to them either through phone calls or invitations to the White House for talks which they simply turn down with excuses as lame as the "sleeping" lie. They, the Republican leaders are showing the World that they have no respect for the President what-so-ever. In fact, they are ruder to him than a person would be to a regular social call or invitation. No one is going to "make them take his calls". The President will need you use some subtler processes to turn this situation around so that we don't have another four years of profitless dithering the the idiotic and disingenuous Republican leaders. In other words, he is going to have to dictate the situation, not them. I personally don't know how that could be done. But,he's the President and a smart, energetic man. Perhaps he will devise some better strategy this time around, just as he did in the debates 2 and 3. |

41. Why do you think people stood in line so long in FL to vote?
|
POTUS is not "naive". Don't put their ugly behavior on him. This isn't "In the Heat of the Night" where he can theatrically and literally slap Mitch McConnell in the face.
This is not going unnoticed. There's a link to a Eugene Robinson article in GD that asserts that disrespectful acts such as this are exactly why the GOP underestimated this year's increase in minority voter turnout. They don't get that their blatant disrespect is visible and has consequences. |

President Obama can take a stroll down to Boehner's office with a nice, burly SS detail, sit down and have McConnel brought in. And them lay out in no uncertain terms exactly what the situation is, what he will and will not put up with, what he expects of them to fall in line with the mandate given him by the American people ... and if they don't he will let the dogs off the chain in 2014, and God help their racist, obstructionist souls.
