Reply to hateful Michelle Obama e-mail

Nasty e-mails still circulating.

I got one that started with: "What a completely revolting election night!!! Here is more of what we will get with this administration, but everyone who voted for the free hand outs will soon experience this. Our corrupt news people never report this only what they want us to see.May GOD help our Grand children. America will get what it deserves!!" It was followed by garbage about Michelle Obama.

This was my reply to all.

Dear Angry People:

Returning your message. Thank you for bringing up this two-year-old e-mail packed with lies to remind us why Republicans did so poorly in the recent elections. Most Americans are tired of such hate, such lies, and such thinly-veiled racism.

How sad you still don’t know Barack’s Air Force One costs as much as George’s did, and Willard’s would have.

The First Lady took a trip with 2 friends and their daughters. Like the previous First Ladies, she still a mother, still a friend, and still entitled to a private life. Guess Fox never explained that the Obamas pay for their own accommodations during vacations, including additional rooms needed for security support - under the same rules that have applied to any previous first-family’s travel: the costs are split with private expenses paid for privately; government expenses paid for by the government. When Mrs. Obama flies on personal business, she also pays what amounts to a first-class fare.

We know you resent the security expenses for the black President’s black wife and daughters, but this is still America, and most people understand the need for such security. You still understood it in 2002 when frequent flier Laura Bush took her 10 day trip to Europe, including Paris. (She must love socialism!) The White House made sure Laura Bush had at least one "official" event in each city, but she and daughter Jenna spent the bulk of their time at each locale shopping and taking in the sights – but this was not considered a vacation. Six trips to Africa, including a safari? Why were you not mad then? We think we know.

Should we be as outraged at what Mitt & Ann spend on their horses, car elevators, and many homes while times are hard and millions are struggling to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet – money made from a business built on shutting down companies and sending jobs to China? That e-mail will never come.
We know why.

Two billion trip to India? Where do you get this stuff?

You could have looked up all the facts rather than passing along lies - but it would mean a trip back to Reality, and we know you’re not comfortable here anymore. You’ve been away too long. But you’re welcome back any time.

We hope America gets what it deserves too. It deserves much better than the lies and hate you are sending.
