When does Obama become 'the big dog"

What more does he have to do? Complete his term without getting impeached and convicted? Does Clinton get to keep the "Big Dog' moniker forever? Do we have another, better name for this amazing President?

5. Obama needs his own identity nickname.

Like the Equalizer...but something more dignified....

I'm not feeling a name just yet. Others may be more creative. I'd start with making a list of his characteristics as a leader.

I'm very good at naming kittens.

You can't just give one person's nickname to somebody else. It would throw off the balance of the universe and cause whole galaxies to implode.

Top Cat was smart and cool, as I recall. And, I believe "Big Dog" wasn't necessarily a name describing Clinton's position in the party. To me, it's more about his personality, which is BIG.

it comes from an old saying, If you cant run with the big dogs, you better stay on the porch. If you can't keep up with what others are doing, then it is best not to attempt it. Bill Clinton earned that one.

25. He needs to become a little more endearing (and a little more ruthless) to earn a moniker.

Obama's nice. Big Dog symbolizes Bill Clinton's energetic political hunting skills, appetite for life, boundless puppy-like enthusiasm, hang-dog bad luck some seasons, and his overall joie de vie.

What can you call Obama--he's practically nickname proof. Professor? Who the hell wants a moniker like that? He can't be the Comeback Kid. His comebacks take too long. The Rickochet Kid? Too French. The Boomerang Kid? Maybe not any kind of "kid" at all. There's nothing really boyish about Obama like there is about Clinton.

I can't think of a perfect handle for him, so here's my temporary placeholder.

Barack "the Flyswatter" Obama.

If people are so in need of a nickname, he'll have his own.

His legacy of accomplishments is large and unique to his personal experience as he serves these terms and will only become larger.

Those who feel compelled to keep score can do so if it makes them feel better, but he's his own POTUS.
