Today is my 8th Anniversary at DU and my 30,000th post

This was the day 8 years ago that Skinner opened registrations back up when the election was stolen in Ohio from Kerry.

It is fitting that Obama just won the election WITH Ohio putting him over the top...as should have happened 8 years ago.

I've been through elections, disasters, good times and bad...and felt very lucky to know some of the DU'ers who have passed on through the years and am grateful for their contributions that they made to this place and to my learning.

I have learned a lot from some of the smartest people gathered on the internet here...and I sincerely thank those people for taking their time to teach us what they know.

Thank you admins for making this a great place to be...even when sometimes we all need to just get away from it.
