Please be responsible; spay or neuter your republican.

The only "reaching across the aisle" the GOP intends to do is to plead via their media ownership, for us to go easy on them while they hold focus groups with behavioral specialists, in search of a sure-fire way to con Latino and Black voters.

They are down. It is time to spay and neuter. Take Holder off-leash! I wanna see a Dem vs. Green battle in 2016!

2. Might be time to also bring back Republican lobotomies. If we can dull their anger,

we have a chance at democracy.

3. Bwahaha...

But seriously folks. There's gonna be a big media push to "be cool" and allow them to regroup. Don't fall for it. Don't let your Facebook friends fall for it.

Everybody's Uncle Bob might be a lost cause. Let 'em rant to the wall and be sure to hide their clip.

6. I find your OP to be both delusional and offensive

They are down? We won one election, with a center-right candidate who is fully prepared to govern as a moderate Republican, just like he dd in his first term. We lost about 10,000 elections - including the one I was running in.

Spay and neuter? Sure, let's put targets on the ones we want to attack with scalpels.

7. Hey Mods! Someone's squeezing the Charmin on Aisle 3!

Dude, get a life!!!

Sense of humor wouldn't hurt, either...
Something I've noticed our enemies tend to lack...

On Edit: Really? You see Obama as a center-right candidate who is fully prepared to govern as a moderate Republican? Wow...
To tell you the truth, I find that sort of defeatist, negative approach to be VERY offensive.
We won one, dude... sorry for your loss, but now is not the time to go to sleep.

9. it's not MY loss that is the big deal

We lost our Democrat in the 5th Senate district.

And we lost a whole lot of Republican moderates in the Kansas Senate.

We lost in the 38th and the 40th. Incumbent Ann Mah of Topeka was defeated. Steve Lukert almost defeated Pyle, but not quite. Former representative, state minority leader and former State Treasurer Dennis McKinney lost.

Republicans STILL control the House.

You find the truth to be offensive and you rail at me for finding "jokes" about surgically altering people you disagree with to be offensive.

Defeatist and negative? Well, in another world, it might be enraging and motivating. If I warn you that Obama is about to betray us, you might think that some people might heed that warning and be motivated to stop him.

Here's the deal.

In 2008, Obama campaigned on keeping 73% of the Bush tax cuts. Tax cuts which would have expired automatically. 73% was a lousy compromise in the first place. Secretly, I was hoping that Congressional Democrats would fight for more and win. After that win in 2008, there was a delusional thread in GD that said "what should the top tax rate be?" and a bunch of giddy DUers started throwing out numbers like it was actually possible we were gonna raise taxes on the rich.

Somehow, in spite of the fact that WE had the House in 2008 and also 59.5 Senate seats, taxes did not go up on the rich. Instead, thanks to Obama's "compromise" we eneded up keeping not 73% of the Bush tax cuts, but 103% of them. Instead of the richest 5% getting $163 billion in tax cuts, like Republicans wanted, the richest 5% got $163.24 billion in tax cuts.

AND, in case you forgot, Obama's Whitehouse put forth statements calling this "compromise" a VICTORY. I called him on that in real time http://journals.democraticunderground.com/hfojvt/138.

I can see the writing on the wall for a repeat of history. I say that not to be defeatist, but to echo what Clinton said - "folks, we CANNOT let that happen". Paul Revere and Israel (or Isaac) Bissell, were not being defeatist or negative when they WARNED people that the British were coming. They were providing an early warning to rouse the people from their complacent slumber.

10. Then we are in almost total agreement!

I too am worried about this... but I think it won't be nearly as easy this time. People showed REAL commitment in waiting on line for hours and hours to support this guy, and I think we're gonna make a helluva lot more noise to see that he lives up to the commitments he's made to us. What Obama did in the early part of his first term is not necessarily indicative of what he'll do now, as he's already played their twisted game of Twister for about 3 years there.
Sorry to hear how badly it went in Flatland... but that's mostly the Kochs, isn't it? And in the overall, we've gained quite a bit of ground in these last 4 years. And this particular election, we STOPPED the Kochs from getting a serious foothold on doing to the entire nation what they've done to Kansas. And we've hit 'em where it hurts most, their wallets. It's a first strike, y'know? More to be done, no question.
I don't think Obama's gonna let us down in the end. But it takes time.
And lastly... look, it's obvious that the OP has used a humorous allusion to put across the idea that the modern GOP needs to GO!...
And it bothers me that you'd cry "Offense!" so quickly, when the humor and the actual intent are so obvious.
C'mon, we're all on the same side here. NOBODY here is for actual vivisection.

Unlike our opponents:

11. The Kochs own your state and they came dangerously close to owning mine on Tuesday.

CA proposition 32 lost... barely. It should have been BURIED!

The "watch the birdie" MSM strategy in this election worked. The GOP is in position now to drag their heels into the midterms. I can't go anywhere in media-land without hearing "fiscal cliff! fiscal cliff! Raaaawwwk!"

Cantor actually believes he is a position to make demands.

The GOP needs to go the way of the Whigs. ASAP. If Holder is too gutless to do his job off-leash, he needs to be replaced.

As for the "spay and neuter..." I'm sure Frank Luntz has been very busy since Tuesday night setting up focus groups for the next round of key-jiggling on the American public. My point is that the GOP has been weakened. They are not going to change. Ever; they're just gonna ramp it up on FOX News Latino. They will attempt to "rebrand."

A virus' sole purpose is reproduction and I say stop it. Now. Spay/neuter; get the ideas out of schools and out of the MSM by whatever legal methods are available!

It is time for the Democratic party to BECOME the conservative party in the US -- debating a GREEN candidate to their left in 2016, with the GOP candidate outside bitching about how he wasn't allowed in.

I might still vote for the Democrat following such a debate, but at least the discussion will be REAL!

An ineffectual tool. The Prez made two really horrible appointments - Holder and Geithner.

14. Geithner definitely. Holder...

This is his chance to make good. One barometer of his effectiveness will be if Adelson tries to flee to Israel soon. We'll see.

If he can't get that done, bring on Kamala Harris when she's available!
