Thinking out loud here, so bear with me ...

I was watching the RMS. She did a segment that had had Rove spouting his "mystery polling" numbers for Ohio and then the frosty reception that he received from other op pundits (or pollsters). I think it was the Plaid Addler that said this showed rove's irrelevance.

I think different ... I think rove's confidence was in his knowing that the fix was in on Ohio (think those "experimental patches); but sometime before election night (or maybe on election night), gop operatives said, "Screw this, that lawsuit failed; but the DoJ can (with an order from any Federal judge) come in and seize the entire voting system. I'm not going to jail." But they had to leave rove out of the loop ... so that he would do exactly what he did in Ohio in 2004, point to his numbers and be believed. They had to have him look like an ass, in order to shut down any action. Had he made the claim and they supported him in the claim, the DoJ still could have moved to seize the machines.

Rove meet Bus.

1. Well that's what we call a win-win.

Rove the fool AND the fix NOT in.

Now what to do to build up the firewall preventing any future bullshit?

4. I think you may be on to something

Rove looked so utterly confident, and even the Fox anchors feared contradicting him, thus the trip to the back room where the powers that decide told Rove to STFU.

Afterwards, he was sputtering and sweating.

5. I agree.

There was something major at play but when somebody found out about the secret experimental software, they had to abandon the whole thing. They hadn't counted on anybody finding out about it. It's the only thing that explains why the media kept saying how close the race was. Having said that over and over in advance would have made the stolen election much more palatable for the public.

Something must be done about this. There needs to be investigations done but I'm afraid it will just be swept under the rug now that the election is over.

6. Sounds about right.

I cannot tell you how warm and fuzzy that makes me feel.

I always thought we should be able to out smart them.

We are on the side of right and we have a lot of really smart people.

I wish I could know exactly what happened.

So glad Rove got had.

7. I think there's a much simpler explination

Rove has had a terrible track record since 2006....and we can argue about his record in 2004 and 2000.

This time, he convinced people to give him hundreds of millions of dollars.....to lose every race he touched.

Losing OH last night was losing his gravy train. It becomes abundantly clear he doesn't have "the math", and he's not going to get big bucks going forward. He was watching his career end and justifiably railing against it.
