*Governor* Scott Brown?

here in MA, I heard some mention of that today and I hadn't seen this article:

http://www.boston.com/politicalintelligence/2012/11/07/election-propels-elizabeth-warren-senate-and-scott-brown-toward-next-political-venture/gNGv4D1kXjMxUxMBIWCOIM/story.html

"...Brown is likely far from done in the political arena, having run statewide twice and built a national political brand name as a moderate.

That history, his national fund-raising base, as well as his prior work as a state legislator, would make him a natural candidate for governor in 2014. Massachusetts voters have shown a willingness to check the Democratic Legislature with a Republican governor, most recently from 1991 to 2007, from Governor William F. Weld to Governor Mitt Romney."

I guess it was too good to believe that he might just ride away in his truck.

2. Warren defeated him statewide. Someone else can, too.

Every dumb thing he said or did is still on record.

6. But much of that was because people did not want another republican in the senate

I could see him having a far better shot at Gov here. Mass often elects republican gov for some reason.

4. Any Repub governor

with a "Scott" in his name has proved to be a disaster, and I doubt he'd be any exception.

9. unfortunately, you're probably right -

but by the time he could run for Gov. I don't even know if he'll be a resident of the Commonwealth. Gail Huff being employed in DC and all. Fair game spending all your time in DC when you're a Senator....not so much as Gov. - or even considering running for Gov.

If you can't tell I'm hoping he beats it out of Mass. Let him become Virgina's problem. OK, maybe MD or the District itself. VA still has Cantor - and that's a hell of a problem.

10. yes, he has said that >

On the heels of his widely acclaimed speech at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., this week, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick won’t rule out a future bid for the White House, but a campaign for president in 2016 will not happen, he told ABC News’ senior political correspondent Jonathan Karl.
“Just chatter,” Patrick told Karl Wednesday afternoon of a “Patrick in 2016″ presidential campaign. “I’m gonna finish my term in 2014. I’m gonna return to the private sector where I’ve spent … most of my career.”
“If there is a time sometime later to come back and serve in public life, I hope I’m able to do that. Just not going to be in 2016,” he added.
