Pres can only make long term changes that help lower gas prices over all. If it's a quick blip, it's the oil barons.

BUT it also dropped down big time right BEFORE the election. Was under $3 in some places and right around $3.06 - $3.12 in others.

Or does that mean he admits that gas prices are controlled by someone else?

they've been stadily declining for a while and are as low as they've been in a long time. Wouldn't be surprising at all to see a sudden spike...

I mean things that aren't even close to the truth. Not even remotely. To call it wild speculation would give it too much credit.

I almost filled up at $3.89, but today it was $3.69. The tank's about half full. I'll wait a few more days. The DOW was up by 300 points today. See a pattern here?

In 1990, when the social democratic New Democratic Party won an unexpected election victory in Ontario, there were "Taxed to death by Bob Rae" signs all over the province before Premier Rae even had a chance to call the legislature. Stunts like that create a poisonous atmosphere, and everyone suffers for it.

Gas rices are obscene but they haven't moved at all since last week when they went down a few cents.

Price was $3.19 at the nearest gas station on Monday (Republicans... that was day before election)
Price was $3.49 at the nearest gas station on Election Day.

If this was Obama's plan it would be a poor decision in getting re-elected.

Plausible explanations
1) Gas stations in area colluded with each other have price go up.
2) Oil industry (the ones campaigning against Obama) ordered price to be fixed higher.
