Massive GOP framing going on -- don't let this happen!

GOP frame: the onus is on Obama to work with Republicans. No progress will happen unless Obama is willing to extend himself, not be so "cold" and aloof,

That's the frame they are hurrying to establish.

They establish a narrative, the media follows along. Rove is a master at it.

11. Yeah, well, no one followed Rove's "narrative" yesterday...I think he's past his sell-by date.

And so is the "Grumpy Old Poop" party.

2. What a load of crap ... as I said in another post, it was BUSH who was that way, AND, they keep

saying Obama didn't get a mandate, but hey, although they still have the House, we gained in the Senate and the House both. So what does that make it look like the American public was thinking? Who should be a little more willing to work with the other side now, huh Boehner, you prick?

3. Obama should do a Dubya: "I've got political capital and I intend to spend it.

Elections have consequences.

Oh, and one other thing. Up yours."

10. Sadly it's not just Faux News or Republicans. I've heard so-called moderate pundits say the

same thing: Alter, Robinson, of course Chris Matthews...

This man has already compromised everything! What more do they want him to do ?

12. They need to cheer the deaths of more uninsured people

or belittle gay war veterans, or cheer border fences that can electrocute aliens. That'll win the support of the American people in the face of Obama's dastardly coldness.

15. You can't stop them from living in their own fantasy world.

They will have to come out of it someday. The longer they stay in denial the worse it will be for them.

16. The political capital is in Obama's pocket

Methinks the President will soon frame the issue for the GOP, in terms that are loud & clear.

17. If Obama takes the Tough Love Dad approach.

So where's my hugs? Comon guys, you know you want to.

Now there are two choices here:

1) Come to the table willingly with ideas and reasonable proposals and get some credit for doing something for the American people or

2) Continue the whinny brat behavior and stand in the corner until you're willing to get to work.

Your choice.
