Citizens United DID Matter... When the Spending Numbers Come Out

We will get a clearer picture of the tsunami that we faced. I think on a level playing field we would have easily won by 10 Million + votes again.

That makes the victory all the more sweet.

1. I think you can water the lawn just so much before you kill the grass...

I think there is a saturation point with TV ads and after you have just so many people

1) get tired of the same ads
2) they make up their minds based on the facts at hand

I was sure that the 1% were going to find out that they spent a whole crapload of money for naught

Now, watch them claim it on thier taxes as donations and try to get the middle class to pay them back
I would think there is a cap on donations that would prevent this.

8. In the end, their mega spending shifted maybe one or two percent of the voters.

It's an inefficient use of money. These "job creators" ought to know that.

3. The right will just formulate another battle plan, spend billions earlier and show MORE negative ads

Hell Fox News is a 365 day a year propaganda machine for the GOP, now billionaires can spend unlimited money (free speech). They blew it this time, they will sharpen their knives and come in again, count on it.

America must overturn Citizen's United and publicly fund elections now!

4. Last night on Current TV, Al Gore said that spending definitely influenced the campaign issues...

The silence on Global Warming being the prime example.
