There are problems, to be sure. I just like to toss in a little countervailing evidence when confronted with "things are so much more fucked up now than they've ever been and they're only getting worse" types of statements, which yours entirely may not have been but which I certainly encounter around these parts with a regular frequency.

The world 10,000 years ago, 2,000 years ago, even 200 years ago was an incredibly brutal, bloody, mean place. It still is, as you say, in many areas and there is always room for improvement.

Still, that said, I'm not sure "Chaos" is the problem.
