Its Time We Wake Up

One Positive about a Shady Businessman Running for Pres

With all the in-depth looks into his past activities in business, it may wake some people up. Romney isn't the only wealthy American businessman who is selling out America and Americans for the all-mighty dollar. He is not the only one whose corporate machine is hiding money so he doesn't have to pay the taxes.

I hope people start taking a real hard look at this. I hope people start to wake up and see that some wealthy Americans and American companies have no interest in helping America if there is no profit motive. I hope that politicians and their constituents start looking at changing laws to counteract what I feel is the sabotage of America for profit. The way our country is going, it is only a matter of time before all this undermining of our great nation puts us in a hole that we might not be able to get out of.

I hope this Rmoney character and his candidacy wakes people up. If this trend continues and Americans don't act to stop it, we could end up like other formerly great civilizations like the Roman Empire.

That is true of most any tragedy or disaster, such as Mitts candidacy for POTUS. 99th_Monkey Nov 2012 #2

We can always look for some kind of "silver lining", like we used to say about
GWBush ... "OMG, this is SO bad, maybe it will finally wake us all up" ... but
then it didn't.

or maybe it's just that it hasn't yet.

There is no way out unless we remain fired up about the one thing that must be changed as soon as possible or we are toast: bank fraud must become illegal again. Our future is being held hostage by low-life grifters in pinstripes
and they're definitely not an American league team, sportsfans!
The economy will remain sclerotic, we will never be able to initiate a serious effort to replace and restore our infrastructure and we will become a third-rate, failed experiment in self government when these snake oil peddlers get through with their organized crime wave disguised as right- wing political philosophy.
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."
(Cannot believe no one's posted that yet.)
Has anyone ever seen a more bogus patriot than this walking target of opportunity for a flock of woodpeckers? It should be against the law to lie in a presidential campaign. I'm serious. People go to jail for commiting perjury in courtrooms all the time. Why should we permit this to ever happen again? The future of the entire nation just as important, just as serious, just as critical as going to jail for a bunch of unpaid parking tickets or not paying income taxes. Get it? Not paying income taxes? Anyone? Bueller?
What the hell is wrong here? How is it that we tolerate this utter disrespect, not just for the President and the party but also the system that people unlike Mr. Brylcream 1956 went out and died for to keep him free to ruin our economy by sending jobs overseas to a militarized slave state that wants to destroy us with copies of our own airplanes that were probably exfiltrated by one of Bain's subsidiaries? But hey, I'm getting ahead of my headlights here. Do these people think they are entitled to crap all over us just because they happen to have been fortunate in business or even more nauseating, because they were born into wealth? What we have here is not a failure to communicate, its a failure to excommubicate. Failure is not a moral issue but to them it is true that the poor or the less fortunate are worth less than their fortunes.
According to the man from Planet Kolob, God is on the side of the rich and goddamn anyone who isn't. What an excrescence. What an utterly lowlife squid shit sucking scumbag. This con-man, this three-card monte shill of a shapeshifting zombie is trying to steal our souls. I thought vampires were just ridiculous fictional boogiemen that had been dreamed up by hysterical English authors and producers of third rate Hollywood thrillers but hey! They'll real! And they're going after the controls of government (once again).

Things go wrong tomorrow and I'm going long on garlic farms, crucifixes, chainmail turtlenecks and a crossbow from Bass Pro shop that fires a dozen wooden bolts at a time plus a tool for sharpening large wooden stakes and I'm never ever going outside after sundown without large crowds of torch-waving vlllagers and a good lawyer who speaks fluent medieval Romanian with a thick Transylvanian accent. Ever. And as soon as I get through spellchecking this excessively long rant,
I might go online at Amazon and buy a small handheld sunlamp that runs on a rechargeable, long-life lithium battery pack. Just in case.
