Harlem is fully lit while Park Avenue is in the dark.

the Park Avenue stretch beginning around 60th Street is where the 'rich' live; it did not lose power. Also, the buildings along the East River from the Brooklyn Bridge to 14th Street are nearly all NYC Public Housing Projects (along with a subsidized middle income co-op).

even stuff like Harlem is pretty heavily gentrified with 2000-3000 dollar rents.

am an old woman now, and I still look forward to seeing the covers with each arrival.

The New York mag cover takes my breath away - it was the perfect way to illuminate the situation.
