I wish they'd stop showing the Staten Island films

To hear their same cries umpteen times a day is disgraceful on the part of msnbc. They are already getting help so stop it already...

I don't mind the residents complaining, just showing it and showing it as tho no one is paying attention is aggravating...

...and make it didn't happen.

ETA There is a magical switch on your TV that can make it all go away in an instant.

You can't control it, so I suggest that you let it go.

There's always more time to fill than actual news to cover. That's why our corporate cable networks have become the haven of pundits and spinners. Real journalism requires a lot of manpower and expense. It's far easier to put a bunch of self-centered warm bodies in a studio and run whatever video you can get your hands on.

I don't begrudge these people for wanting/needing help...and if all this attention gets Bloomberg (isn't Staten Island still a part of NYC) off his pompous ass...cancel that silly marathon and help these people rather than his friends on Wall Street.

I just curious as to which party they broke for.

On edit: I also didn't hear much about the destruction on Staten Island until yesterday. I don't remember hearing about it the day after Sandy or even 2 days after. We heard about NYC & NJ Shore - but really don't remember anything about Staten Island until yesterday (Thursday). I don't even remember hearing Bloomberg say anything about SI. Am I wrong about that?
