Today, on my way home from work ...

I was struck by a perverse impulse ... I set my car radio to 790 AM, the Tucson-area conservative radio network. Lucky me ... I got to listen to beck's show.

After a commute of 45 minutes, listening to beck the entire time, I come away with two thoughts:

1) beck and his side-kick, and the show in general is incredibly juvenile ... their comments, their "analysis", really, just the whole show, including the dubbed in sound effects and beck's whinny a$$ed voice;

2) The show's commercials are all shill scam products ... from Goldline ("invest in our gold coins that are marked up beyond any investment value&quot to some kind of "Food Insurance" (just in case some disaster happens, somehow you'll be covered for food). I must hand it to beck, he his his fear-based market covered!

Now ... PLEASE ... Someone take up the mantle ... don't make me listen again!

Must go out and stock up!

If I had thought, I would have remembered the website address ... I wonder if they include a Gold-standard package that includes a couple of AK 47s, a decorative 45 caliber side-arm, and a couple hundred thousand rounds of ammo, with an add-on option of an RPG, all for the low, low price of ...

Guns and ammo are also good purchases in case of disaster.

The 1StrongBlackMan pantry is current stocked with two 20lb bags of rice and a 30lb bag of dry beans and 4 20gal jugs of water (and a 90gal fish tank). We also have a propane camp stove. And we are not lacking in guns or ammo, either.

... I am shocked by how stupid they all sound.

They weren't always this stupid, back when there only a handful of networks and everyone had to get equal time. Seriously. I think years of refusing to engage with liberals has made them intellectually incapable of arguing their points, that is, if they even have points to make at all.

Traveling over two states for work. Occasionally I listen to the RW nut radio stations. But I get bored or annoyed and go back to searching for the NPR station or pop in a CD. I can't believe anyone listens to his drivel on a regular basis.

I mean she's always been paranoid but the food thing I have never understood. I have always wondered what right wing bs made her waste all that money. Its mostly expired so its kinda sad.

Their dream is living in their bunker with guns, gold and ammo with a lifetime supply of seeds.

Where they are going to spend gold and plant seeds during the Obamapacolypse is beyond me, but I don't begrudge them their dreams.

Thank you for carrying this burden, but I, too, must pass. I think it's wise to keep an eye on the crazy rightwingers, but not me. There is no way I could have survived for 45 minutes! My head hurts just thinking about it!

20. What Did You Expect From The "Morning Zookeeper"?

The guy was a member of the "Morning Zoo" radio show that EVERY town in EVERY State has on the radio during morning drive-time. The fact that anyone takes him seriously is a joke. He's a frickin' morning zookeeper who decided that he could get famous by pandering to the right-wing zombies who will prop up anyone who says things that they agree with. No one with 2 brain cells to rub together would take him seriously.

That's why I think that whenever people refer to him, they should always call him, "Former Morning Zookeeper Glenn Beck." He deserves to be taken as seriously as those jerks who annoy people during morning drive.
