Obama is doing a great job today, as both executive and politician

I assume we are mostly adults here who can talk about reality. Yes, the president is mindful of the looming election while also doing his job. As he should.

And he is doing a bang-up job of both.

Every clip of Obama is a perfect sound-byte of seriousness, optimism, earnest concern and patriotism. It will be impossible to do an evening news segment that doesn't function better as a campaign ad than any campaign ad.

And the tone matches Obama's "closing argument" ads about what an honor it is to serve us as President.

If Romney were not an evil mutant I'd feel bad for him. He's in an impossible political position.
